New Mexico Trails - Albuquerque
It is springtime and the many trails of New Mexico beckon. In the greater Albuquerque area, our high desert climate and easy accessibility to walking paths and trails to and through the bosque (woods) encourage us to be outdoors.
We can also pick up trails into the National Petroglyph Monument to spend a leisurely hour or two communing with nature in solitude or searching for glyph— picture messages left by long-gone generations.
The Sandia Mountain ranges also on our doorstep have many exits and entrances to a bevy of walking, hiking, and biking paths of varying degrees of difficulty. Stop for a picnic in a nearby park then enter through the foothills just east of Tramway Boulevard in the northeast.
